Shaping the Present to Build a Better Future

WHAT WE DO
Xcalibur Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on developing international development cooperation projects in countries where our parent company, Xcalibur Smart Mapping, is present.
Through our projects, we aim to promote personal and social values that encourage healthy growth and emotional, mental, and physical empowerment in our participants, families, and local communities.

Basket4All is our first programme in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where we use basketball as a tool to foster the personal and social development of young people in Kinshasa. Through our Academy of Excellence, 30 participants aged 12 to 17 receive ongoing sports and values-based education, as well as nutritional and medical support. Through Service-Learning activities, they then share what they have learnt with students at schools located in some of the city’s most disadvantaged areas.
Women’s Wellbeing and Empowerment (ByEM, its Spanish acronym) is our first initiative focused on gender equality. We support the players of Sport Extremadura CD’s women’s team through training and guidance designed to foster their personal and professional development, both on and off the pitch. Through Service-Learning activities, the players share social values with students at secondary schools across the province of Badajoz, encouraging girls and boys to be physically active.
Our Medellín Social School supports more than 100 participants and their families in Colombia. We use sport as a tool to promote the holistic development of children in vulnerable situations, combining it with education in social values. The programme is complemented by cultural activities delivered in collaboration with local organisations, medical check-ups and community initiatives that also involve participants’ families and the wider community.
HERoSTEM connects Xcalibur Smart Mapping professionals with students from the African Science Academy (ASA), supporting their development in STEM fields: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Through speaking sessions, mentoring and an internship programme, participants build professional skills and connections that enable them to apply their talent and contribute to the development of their communities and regions.
Naguru Social School (2022–2025) was the project that marked the beginning of our mission. After completing its cycle in December 2025, the social school is no longer in operation. Its impact and the lessons we learned continue to be part of our story and to inspire the initiatives we develop today.
OUR VALUES
01.
— Essence
Respect is one of the most important pillars of life. We begin by honoring it through mutual respect within our team, partners, and collaborators, and strive to pass it on to our beneficiaries, their families, communities, and surroundings.
02.
— Education
As a core element of our philosophy, education is both essential and necessary. Ensuring access to education and promoting the pursuit and commitment to formal education are fundamental requirements for the Foundation.
03.
— Equality
We are all equal. Equality among people, genders, religions, identities, and races. Equality in opportunities, education, sports, and life. We want to do our part to help make this a reality.
04.
— Respect
Respect is one of the most important pillars of life. We begin by honoring it through mutual respect within our team, partners, and collaborators, and strive to pass it on to our beneficiaries, their families, communities, and surroundings.
05.
— Sport
We see sports as a tool for education, training, and instilling values—making it the perfect means to positively impact children and youth. Playing while learning, and learning through playing.
06.
—Environment
It’s both a responsibility and a commitment. We are directly involved in caring for nature and educating others on respecting and protecting the environment. We are aware of this duty, and it’s embedded in our DNA.
TESTIMONIALS
EDUCATION FOR ALL
“As CEO of Xcalibur Smart Mapping and honorary partner of the Xcalibur Foundation, we believe that helping to improve the quality of life for groups at risk of social exclusion is both a duty and a self-imposed goal that is deeply embedded in our organization’s DNA. We take pride in collaborating with the Xcalibur Foundation to support vital social projects that focus on education and the development of the most vulnerable groups—especially children, youth, and women.”
Andrés Blanco
CEO, Xcalibur Smart Mapping
SPORT AS A TOOL FOR SOCIAL INCLUSION
“Our main goal in Uganda, and around the world with the Xcalibur Foundation, is to improve the lives of children by using football as a social tool. Our social sports schools, present in more than 70 countries, implement comprehensive social interventions that include nutrition, healthcare, and/or schooling for children in need. We follow our exclusive methodology, For a REAL Education: Values and Sport, which integrates weekly training and values-based sessions, making sports a powerful tool for social inclusion through education.”

REAL EXPERIENCES INSPIRE A UNIQUE PROJECT
“I am so grateful for the way my mentor listens to me and shares real-life experiences. It makes me feel understood and motivated to keep working toward my goals.”

USING SPORT TO TRANSFORM LIVES
“This project is a tribute to the girls and women who, whether in sport or other fields, stand up for themselves and fight for their dreams.
I am convinced that these girls will become role models for future generations, and our mission is to support and encourage their emotional and professional growth for an integral development adapted to today’s challenging and volatile society.”
Laura Blanca Toro,
Programme Director of Fundación Xcalibur and Founder of Lautestima
A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO BECOME BETTER
“I’ve been at the school since the first year, and I’ve learned a lot. I now know how to control the ball, and I’ve also learned important values like respect. I feel comfortable with my teammates; they treat me well and are very friendly. This is a great opportunity for us, and I want to become someone in life.”
